During the winter season it is a known fact that most people experience mood changes. We are currently in the last few weeks of winter and it good to know if what you are feeling is just a bad mood or something a little more serious. According to Lindsay Holmes, a contributor writer for the Huffington Post says, "approximately 10million people in the United States are affected by seasonal affective disorder, a depression -related condition that generally occurs in the winter months."
Here are some signs to differentiate seasonal depression from winter blues:
- You're sleeping a lot more than usual
- You've lost interest in fun activities
- You're craving carbs
- Your energy is low
- You're constantly bickering with your loved ones
- You feel fine during the other seasons
