How it Feels to Have a Panic Attack

Panic attacks are common among many people, yet they are extremely hard to explain to people who have never experienced one before. Janelle Ann McCarthy, a photographer, has explained in detail what it is like to have a panic attack. She starts explaining that a panic attack feels like you are being engulfed by everything around you at one time. Some other common feelings when having a panic attack are: shaking from head to toe, pounding chest, stomach in knots and you feel like you may vomit or explode. McCarthy also explains that you can feel light headed like your lungs are slowly shrinking. Panic attacks are very uncomfortable, and can be extremely terrifying to those who experience them. Those who experience them will really be the only ones who understand what they feel like.
