Marriage counseling can be extremely helpful for relationships. However, in some cases both partners may not agree to start attending. It may be one of the partners idea to try counseling, while the other may have less or no interest. If this is the case, there is one thing you can do, that might help encourage your spouse to say yes to marital counseling. This one thing is to go to counseling by yourself and see what counseling is all about. It helps to work on individual issues. Once you tell your spouse about your experience with therapy he or she may be more open to trying it.
