Dealing With PTSD

PTSD, or post traumatic stress disorder, is a common type of anxiety disorder. You don't have to be a military veteran to suffer from PTSD. Anyone who has suffered a trauma can be exposed to its effects.

There are 3 general categories that PTSD symptoms fall into, according to an article on psychguides.com. The categories are flashbacks, avoidance behavior, and an increased level of arousal. The article further explains that having an increased level of arousal can cause problems with sleeping, make it hard to concentrate, and can increase your startle response.
